Family and Friends,

Hello from Tirana! This week has been a great week for us here.

This week my younger brother, Elder Race Acheson, begins his mission to the France Lyon Mission!!
We have been invited, as a mission, to achieve a lofty convert baptismal goal. We dedicated this past week to finding new people and meeting with them. We found some great people this week and did some great coordination work with Brother Gusmari, our Ward Mission Leader. I believe we found some great people this week that may, with work and time, become members of the Church.

This Saturday we, as the Priesthood of Albania, gathered at the Church in Durrës where we participated in a beautiful meeting presided by President Mema and his counselors. The messages, I feel, were truly inspired and carried some wonderful invitations for us. My favorite part of the meeting was reuniting with many members whom I loved from around the country. I got to see Denis and Brother Dhamo from Elbasan and I also was able to see Sadush, the Paja boys and many others there. I was very happy to be there.

We here in Tirana are preparing a Christmas program that we will be giving on the 20th. As part of that there will be a general choir which will perform a selection of traditional Christmas songs in Albanian and a missionary choir which will be performing a special arrangement The First Noel. I would highly suggest your attendance but the distance discrepancy may be a justifiable cause of your absences.

I wish you all a Merry Christmas. My next general communication will be on New Year’s Day. I love you all and we will talk in January

Family and Friends,

Last week I didn't have an opportunity to give a report for last week. I will give you a quick summary of last week and then I will describe this week.

On Monday we had a family home evening with Trashgim and some other ward members.

On Tuesday we had our Christmas choral practice and we did service at the Abdullari home. Later we taught an English course and had a lesson with Ermal the investigator I had last year.

On Wednesday we had a practice for our talent show and cleaned out the old Albania District documents with the bishop after which we had a great lesson with the man I baptized last year named Maliq. Then we ended our day with a lesson with President Çuçi, the former Branch President.

Then on Thursday we got up and went to the mission home for a special training with the whole mission and for an amazing Thanksgiving meal. We then performed our district talents. We did a synchronized swimming skit, and it was hilarious.

On Friday we had a lesson with Sulejman, went tracting, then met with the Çoka Family.

On Saturday morning we stopped by the Dediaj family's house in the morning and we had a lesson with the whole family, and it was a super awesome lesson with Bujar Gusmari with whom we then had ward correlation meeting. We had an amazing lunch with Julian Vezi were we had roasted kid and grilled kid, which are specialties of Tepelena.

Then on Sunday we had church and the Dediaj grandfather came to church, we had choir practice, and we went finding all night.

Now this week was a good week.

On Monday then we hung out with Spencer Kendal, or formerly known as Elder Kendal and his friend Adam.

On Tuesday we spent our morning working on preparing documents for the city counsel of Tirana to get permission to have a projector play a loop of the "He is the Gift" at the pyramid.  Then we had lunch. Later that afternoon we taught English course, then we had ward council. Then we ended with the Alushi Family which like always was awesome.

Then on Wednesday we had an amazing zone training, and we really focused on how we can use the “He is the Gift” initiative and how we are going to use it to kick off the Christmas season here.   Then we had lunch with Adam, and we found a great new sufflaqe place. Then we went tracting,.

On Thursday we went street contacting all morning, had lunch, then studies, then we went tracting. We then taught English course and went to the Spaulding’s house, the Embassy family, which was awesome!  Brother Spaulding returned for a 2 week leave from Afghanistan and it was great to see him.

Then on Friday we had a cleaning inspection in the morning, and we passed because our house is always clean. Then we had an awesome lesson with the Abdullari Family before which we were splitting logs and we cracked the axe head, so we spent our whole lunch trying to find a blacksmith and got Alfred a huge axe head for Christmas.  Then we weekly planned, then we tracted and ended our night with a great lesson with our investigator Ledi at the Abdullari’s.

On Saturday we had ward correlation meeting and spent our afternoon street contacting and bringing people into the institute center and showing them the “He is the Gift” video. We then had a great meeting with President Weidmann and then played soccer with investigators and members.

Then on Sunday we had church then afterwards we had a ward potluck, then after church we studied, then we had a long tracting session which we ended with dinner at the Balillari's house.

Today for P-Day Elder Richards spent 5 dollars and had an elf costume made. I took the Ward Santa costume and we spent the day walking and riding buses around Tirana. It was super fun and we had a blast.

I love you all and I hope to hear from you all!
